1.
Here I stand, before that which binds me to the earth. Awaiting transformation. Purity through flame. Metamorphosis through destruction. Immortality through the flesh. Wisdom through pain. My mind is ready. Open my eye.
2.
An awful hum drowns all sound, it is all around. Pitch black spots adorn my vision. I am unclean. The din, an attenuator to the light. The dark and the hum, slowing my mind and body to form anew. Behold a transformation. A taint upon the soul from which to draw strength. Clarity returns with a new vigor.
3.
Wherein lies the heart of a dead man? My body is but a vessel of light and pure evil, otherworldly energy courses through the labyrinth of my body. So long ago it was. A time when I was a man. Herein lies a furnace, one that burns ferociously. Radiating an ominous glow. Filled with a heat so fierce, fierce enough to incinerate the earth. But what is a flame without fuel? Nothing. What is a man without a heart? A monster. Violent, wretched oppressor. Unholy being.
4.
Now I feel the warmth of this dimension, the faint radiance of other possible plains of existence. I feel it wash through my mouth and body. Eat the flesh. Drink the blood. Release me from my mortal coil.
5.
An ever-flowing current of salt and ash flows through these veins. Too many a sleepless night spent embracing the torment, questioning its reason and that of other men. A question of faith and logic. Faith is naught but a debilitating affliction.
